My name is Obanla Williams otherwise known as African Obanla A 1 Sounds. The chairman managing director of Unlimited 24:7 Communication and Promotion. We own our Record Label known as Obanla A1 sounds, and we run a promotional outfit and Artist Management. One of our notable outstanding artiste happen to be Oristefemi of the Double Wahala fame produced by Obodo Robodo based in Iba and I happen to be the manager of Obodo Robodo himself.
Daddy Showkey, Daddy Fresh, Cashman Davies, Rolland Okafor and I were members of the Pretty Busy Boys Crew led by my beloved self African Obanla founded in the mid 80s. we were together as brothers under one umbrella until we drop our debut album titled: ‘that is the way’ with the wave making hit ‘Biggy Belle’. Then Daddy Fresh was the lead vocal of the group, he was then the best male vocalist in Nigeria, myself, Daddy Showkey and Cashman, we were doing the reggae and rap thing. Rolland Okafor left the group before the release of the album. The album which turned out to be a huge success to the record label owner Melody Records in Onitsha Anambra State then had a distribution outlet in Achakpo Ajegunle. Up till date the label did not pay us a dime referenced to the album. And because we are not paid our royalty, the group got destabilized but uptill now Daddy Showkey, Daddy Fresh and CAshman Davies and I are still like brothers.
